David Miller Reveals the Secret to His Gujarat Titans Success. David Miller has been in superb form for Gujarat Titans, and he shone once more in Qualifier 1 against Rajasthan Royals to help his team reach the final in their inaugural season.
After assisting Gujarat Titans to a spot in the final of the ongoing Indian Premier League 2022 on Tuesday. Star batter David Miller said the team’s continued support has played a significant role in improving his game this season. Moreover, Miller was the driving force behind GT’s seven-wicket victory over Rajasthan Royals. The South African hit 68 off 38 balls and, along with captain Hardik Pandya’s 40 off 27 balls, led Gujarat Titans to a seven-wicket victory over the inaugural champions Rajasthan Royals at the Eden Gardens.
“First and foremost, I consider opportunity (what has changed?). I was given a role and felt completely supported from the start. My personal game – I’m enjoying my role, which I’ve been playing for a long time. I now have a much better understanding of my game. In high-pressure situations, you tend to stray from your game plan. I feel like I’m doing my best to keep everything together and on track. ” David Miller stated during the post-match presentation.
David Miller went on to say that one of the benefits of the IPL is that you can play for different teams.
“There has been a lot of going wide to me on the off-side, so I decided to step across for the first time. I had my back and went with it. I tried to hit as hard as I could the rest of the time. That’s one of the attractions of the IPL: you get to play for different teams and meet different players “He continued.
Miller hit five sixes, including three in the final over when 17 runs were needed in a thrilling chase of 189, as Gujarat Titans became the third team in their debut season to reach the final.
“Because it was a new team, there were a few butterflies. Everything seemed to fall into place after the first victory. You have to control what you can and not plan too far ahead. Concentrate on your breathing, and if it’s in your area, take advantage of it. We have a few days off. We’ll take the bus back and celebrate with a few drinks “Miller stated.
Gujarat Titans will now wait to see which of the Lucknow Super Giants, Royal Challengers Bangalore, and Rajasthan Royals will face them in the title match on May 29 in Ahmedabad.
