“Will Be A Concern” Says Michael Vaughan of Rohit Sharma. The Mumbai Indians have lost their first six matches this season and are struggling to get going.
Former England captain Michael Vaughan has spoken out about the Mumbai Indians’ disastrous season so far. Vaughan told Cricbuzz that it is difficult to see Mumbai making a comeback this season after losing six games in a row. He also stated that this season could be a season in which Mumbai discovers players for the future, as well as his thoughts on skipper Rohit Sharma, whose graph hasn’t risen since taking over as India’s captain across all formats earlier this year.
“As for Mumbai, I’m not sure what to say about them. They are my group. I’ve always adored them. They’ll be having a down year. They will have a year where they will have to find one or two players, and I believe they have found one in Dewald Brevis who they can rely on for many years. They made a deal with Jofra Archer, but he won’t be there this year, but that’s good business for the future.

“Rohit Sharma is a problem. Rohit Sharma has not done this (hand gesture showing an upward graph) since he became India’s Prime Minister; he has done a little bit of that (hand gesture showing a downward graph).
“And it will be a concern for me if Rohit does not see the Indian captaincy as a confidence booster for his game to go really up into the sky,” Vaughan said on Cricbuzz Live.
He went on to say that the Mumbai Indians are working hard, but things aren’t going well for them.
“They’re just not thinking clearly. They win the coin toss and bowl. They are attempting, and they are giving it their all. They’re probably overthinking things. We generally expect Mumbai to arrive late and depart late, but they have left it a little too late this year “Vaughan explained.
