She was also a member of the winning squad in 2009, as well as the team that lost to Australia in the final earlier this month.

“I consider myself extremely fortunate to have had the opportunity to represent my country for the past 14 years. It has been an honor to be involved in women’s cricket at a time of such growth, but it has become clear to me that it is moving faster than I can keep up with, so it is time for me to step away “She stated this in a statement.
“I never imagined I’d be lucky enough to play for England for so long; I’d have been content with just one game. There were many ups and downs along the way, but it was all worth it to win the ICC Women’s World Cup at Lord’s in 2017.”
