The new franchise Lucknow Super Giants will be a different challenge for KL; but if he can bat like he did in previous seasons and lead the team to the knockout stages; if not the finals, he will have made a significant step forward in his cricketing career; “On Star Sports’ ‘Gameplan,’ Gavaskar said.
Gavaskar also stated ahead of the encounter between the Lucknow Super Giants and the Gujarat Titans; that Rahul and Quinton de Kock will be a lethal opening pair for the Lucknow Super Giants; and will keep them in good stead throughout the season.

“Quinton de Kock’s best quality is that he has previous captaincy experience. He has captained South Africa and is familiar with all of the game’s versions. Because we’re discussing a new team now, he understands what team building entails. He’ll be eager to participate in the team-building process “Gavaskar stated.
“The right-hand and left-hand combination of KL Rahul and Quinton de Kock makes; for a dangerous opening duo, and they can get the team off to a flying start,” he added.
