According to CSK CEO Ravindra Jadeja, MS Dhoni will be his “guiding force.”
On Thursday, the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) made headlines when they declared that MS Dhoni would not be captaining the group in the prospective Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022, which Ravindra Jadeja would take over.
In a meeting with NDTV on Thursday, CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan expressed that Dhoni continuously considers the franchise’s best interface some time recently before making any decisions. Jadeja will have a direct drive in the shape of Dhoni, concurring with the CEO, and the two will make a great group.
“See, he made this decision with CSK’s best interests in mind. MS Dhoni considers CSK’s best interests in all he does. Whatever decision he makes, we are content. In response to Jadeja’s appointment as CSK captain, the franchise’s CEO stated: “Ravindra Jadeja is, after all, the best all-rounder in the world right now. He has been a member of the squad for a long time and is familiar with the team’s culture. He is capable of handle it, and with Dhoni at his side, Jadeja will always have a guiding influence. I believe it will work well together.”

In his 12 seasons as captain, Dhoni has led CSK to four trophies. CSK established themselves as the most consistent franchise in the league under Dhoni’s leadership.
In the IPL, Dhoni led CSK 204 times, winning 121 games and losing 82. In the cash-rich league, he had a win percentage of 59.6%. CSK won four IPL titles and two Champions League T20 crowns during his reign.

The IPL 2022 will begin on March 26, with CSK taking on Kolkata Knight Riders in the tournament’s first match.
