Rashid Latif has sent a legal notice to PJ Mir for making insulting statements about him and Javed Miandad. Latif, according to PJ Mir, smacked Javed Miandad in Antigua in 1993.
Rashid Latif, a former Pakistan wicketkeeper, has sent a legal notice to PJ Mir. A former Pakistan cricketer turned writer, for making derogatory allegations against him and Javed Miandad. A notification given requesting an apology within 14 days, failing which Mir would be forced to pay Rs 1 billion for tarnishing the former cricketer’s image.
Notably, PJ Mir stated on a Pakistan station that Rashid Latif slapped Javed Miandad in Antigua during Pakistan’s tour of the West Indies in 1993. In response to his comments, Latif maintained that he never smacked or raised his voice in front of the great cricketer, and referred to him as a national hero and Pakistan’s pride.

“I never slapped or even raise my voice in front of legendary Javed Miandad,” Latif wrote on X.

PJ Mir made the surprising assertion while recounting an event involving dressing room squabbles on Samaa TV.
