Former Pakistan cricketer Shoaib Malik has asked Babar Azam to rest Shadab Khan in the team’s forthcoming match, citing the all-rounder’s underwhelming performances in the 2017 ICC Cricket World Cup. On October 20, the 1992 champions will face Australia in their fourth encounter at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
Many have questioned Shadab’s inclusion in the lineup following the team’s match against archrivals India in Ahmedabad. Shadab, according to Malik, is struggling with both bat and ball and should be withdrawn from the forthcoming match.
“There is no doubt that Shadab is a very good bowler, but he is struggling.” “Adam Zampa, for example, was unable to land his leg spin on the correct spot despite taking four wickets against Sri Lanka in Lucknow on Monday, but his sliders and googlies were landing correctly,” Malik told A Sports.
“In terms of Shadab, the Pakistan cricket team expects him to bowl ten overs rather than four or six.” That is why I believe he should be changed,” remarked the former batsman.

Shadab and Nawaz should not play together for Pakistan: Wahab Riaz
Former Pakistan pacer Wahab Riaz believes Shadab Khan and Mohammad Nawaz should not be in the same squad, instead opting for Usama Mir.
