Dale Steyn and Irfan Pathan predicts the ODI World Cup finalists for 2023. “My heart wants to say South Africa and India, but I am kind of leaning towards India and England,” remarked Steyn.
The ODI World Cup 2023 is quickly approaching, and all sides have begun to prepare for the major event. In the run-up to the event, experts and cricketing luminaries have began to make predictions for the finalists. Former greats Dale Steyn and Irfan Pathan have offered their predictions for which sides will make the final.
Steyn stated his deep wish for South Africa to reach the final, believing that the team’s familiarity with Indian conditions, as a result of the participation of several players who have competed in the Indian Premier League (IPL), provides them a substantial edge.
“It’s a tough one; you know my heart wants South Africa to make the final.” Their team, a lot of their players play in the IPL, they play in India on a regular basis, and they have some guys like David Miller and Heinrich Klaasen who have really started to figure out those conditions and bat well there. “There’s also KG Rabada, who has been bowling there for a long time,” Steyn told Star Sports.

Dale Steyn admitted that the competition is tough
He agrees with Waqar Younis, another cricketing legend, that India and England are the favorites. “My heart wants to say South Africa and India, but I am kind of leaning towards India and England,” said Steyn.
Irfan, on the other hand, acknowledged England’s strength, stressing their diverse all-rounders in particular. He did, however, favor South Africa and prophesied that they would win the World Cup.
“Logically, you can’t take England out of the running because they have a very strong team.” “It’s India and South Africa for me,” Pathan asserted confidently. He praised India’s current form and excellent preparation, reflecting Waqar Younis’ thoughts about their success at the Asia Cup.
“South Africa has a great chance to do well in this World Cup because they have arrived here with a strong team and good form but India will definitely win this Word Cup because they are at their best form right now and also like Waqar Younis told how they played in the Asia Cup and according to me they have also ticked all the boxes at right time,” he said.
