Afghanistan’s pace attack is discuss by Hamid Hassan in light of the upcoming Asia Cup and ODI World Cup. Hamid Hassan stated, “We don’t want to be dependent on any certain department in our bowling.
There is no denying that Afghanistan’s team is fill with skill, particularly in the spin bowling department. Over the years, the team has had a number of stars in their squad. So much so that the pacers on the side have been on the sidelines quite a bit. However, in recent months, many new fast-bowling talents like Fazalhaq Farooqi have risen through the ranks and established themselves as a regular in the side.
Afghanistan’s fast bowling coach, Hamid Hassan, came up to say that the team was not seeking to rely solely on its spin attack for the future competitions as they prepared to play Pakistan in a three-match ODI series. According to Hassan, Afghanistan is looking for balance in their squad. Therefore, just though spinners handle more of the team’s tasks does not indicate that pacers aren’t available.
“As the Asia Cup and World Cup draw near, we are now working to balance out our bowling attack since we don’t want to rely too much on any one area of our bowling. There is no denying our strength in the spin department, according to Hamid Hassan, according to Cricbuzz.
There is backup in the fast bowling unit, he continued. “If you come to fast bowling there is Farooqi, who is world number two in T20Is. There is Farid Malik, Naveen (Naveen ul Haq), Azmat (Azmatullah Omarzai), Nizaat Masood. You see the new guy Abdur Rehman can bowl up to 140,” he said.

For Afghanistan, we’re looking for bowlers that can average over 150: Hassan
The fast bowling coach added that the talent level in the Afghanistan team is rising quickly and that sometimes even the selectors struggle with who to choose, which is a positive thing.
“Occasionally, while selecting the 11, we have trouble deciding who to play and who to drop. This is wonderful, but in the next five to ten years, we want to discover bowlers who can bowl over 150 for Afghanistan,” said Hassan.
