Jayaram scored 10 half-centuries and five hundreds during his First-Class career. He also took two wickets as a useful part-time spinner. Back in the day, he was regarded as one of Kerala’s best batters.

In the 1980s, he rose to the occasion and established himself as a national star. Jayaram went on to achieve four century in five Ranji Trophy outings during the 1986-87 season. He also held various positions in India’s Board of Control for Cricket. Notably, Jayaram was a previous junior national selector. For a time, he was also the main selection of Kerala’s senior teams.

It is worth noting that during his fantasy Ranji Trophy season. Some significant players from Indian teams were victims of his batting devastation. He further stated that during his playing days, he was a class apart because there were few players of his caliber in Kerala. K Jayaram went on to serve as a match referee and a top council member of the Kerala Cricket Association (KCA) in addition to his managerial positions. On Monday, July 17, he will be cremated in the Ravipuram crematorium. Jayaram’s son, Abhay, and wife, Rama, survive him.
