Jasprit Bumrah’s skills were missed by Indian fans in the World Test Championship (WTC) final, which India lost by 209 runs to Australia. The speedster last played for India in September 2022 and had back surgery in March.
Bumrah is on the mend after a successful surgery and is sweating it out at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru. With only 100 days till the ODI World Cup, which will be contested entirely in India for the first time. Indian fans relieved to learn that the fast bowler has begun bowling in the nets and is expect to play practice matches at the NCA next month, according to sources.

Ramji Srinivasan, former team India strength and conditioning coach. Believes Jasprit Bumrah should not be pushed back into the Indian lineup. “He shouldn’t be rush. Playing practice matches at the NCA is a wonderful first step since it will help him adapt his body to match demands. “However, before bringing him to top-level cricket, he should be force to play in some actual (domestic) matches. ” Srinivasan cited as saying by Cricketnext.
“The demands of international cricket are different. The body must be physically prepared to handle that level of workload.” “Recovering from a stress fracture is a delicate exercise, and Bumrah should be given as much time as possible,” he noted.
Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul are also being treat at the NCA for their ailments. According to rumors, both players are on the mend, but their long-awaited comeback cannot be projected at this time.
