According to reports from Pakistan, SLC, BCB, and ACB have written to the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) formally rejecting the host PCB’s formula of playing four games in Pakistan and the rest in the UAE, thereby supporting the BCCI’s position.
Rashid Latif revealed the development. “With the exception of Pakistan, India and three other countries rejected the hybrid model for the Asia Cup. All agreed on a single venue due to logistical and financial concerns. ” “There may be a Zoom meeting soon or a general meeting in Dubai in a few days to finalize the matter (Sic),” the former Pakistan captain wrote on Twitter. Latif confirmed the report and also certified the validity of this update when approached by Cricbuzz.
“I have information from independent sources that four countries have rejected the model. It is now a formality that the Asia Cup will be moved out of Pakistan. ” Latif, a well-known former captain, told this website on Tuesday. When asked if Pakistan would take part in the event, he stated that it should. “I feel Pakistan should and will.”
However, as of the publication of this article, there has been no formal clarification on the subject. PCB chief Najam Sethi did not react to a request for comment from this website.

The six-team Asia Cup, which is expected to begin in the second week of September. Seen as an important forerunner to the World Cup in October-November. The 17-game championship will feature India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, and Nepal.
