New Delhi, 18 May 2023: The Delhi Capitals defeated the Punjab Kings by 15 runs on Wednesday at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamsala. Rilee Rossouw, the Player of the Match, smashed 82* runs off 37 balls to enable the Delhi franchise post a score of 213/2 in 20 overs.

The Delhi Capitals afterwards held the Punjab Kings to 198/8.
“Really happy that the Delhi Capitals got the win,” Rossouw stated after the game. The fans have earned it. They have been there for us throughout the season.”
After a 94-run opening stand, Rilee Rossouw and Prithvi Shaw put together a fast partnership of 54 runs off 28 balls to give the Delhi Capitals’ innings a boost. “I enjoyed batting on a good wicket and expressing my talent,” the South African remarked of his time with Prithvi. In the middle, Prithvi and I had a good time. There were no meaningful discussions. Batting alongside someone who was that calm was a delight.”
“We talked about playing with freedom before our game against Punjab Kings,” Rossouw said, adding that the team will battle till the last ball in their upcoming game against Chennai Super Kings. In our next game, we shall fight until the very last ball. We’ll rise to the occasion and strive to take the two points.”
