I am happy to bowl anytime the captain asks me to: Arjun
Arjun’s triumphs over KKR and SRH were undoubtedly memorable, as he made his IPL debut against the former and took his first IPL wicket against the latter. Arjun spoke about how it felt to pick the first ever IPL wicket:
“Obviously, getting my first IPL wicket was fantastic.” I only had to concentrate on what was at hand, the strategy, and carrying it through. Our strategy was to bowl wide and bring the long boundary into play, forcing the batsman to hit it to the longer side. I enjoy bowling and am willing to play whenever the captain requests it, as long as I follow the team plan and give my all.”
“I just concentrated on my release and bowling good lengths and lines in the beginning.” If it swings, that’s great; if it doesn’t, that’s OK too. We (Sachin and him) chat about cricket, we debate tactics before the game, and he urges me to back up what I practice every game,” he added, referring to his conversations with his father, Sachin Tendulkar.
