england v new zealand cricket bettingENG vs NZL 13th T20I match prediction 20 Oct 2021

England and New Zealand will go head on against each other in their last and final respective warm-up fixtures ahead of the ICC World T20 2021 action. This warm-up clash between ENG and NZ is going to be played at the Tolerance Oval in Abu Dhabi on October 20, Wednesday. In order to lift your moods midweek, I have brought you the opportunity to make cash from the ENG vs NZ battle. Therefore I have managed to handpick the top betting tips from the ENG vs NZ warm-up T20 encounter.

Both England and New Zealand are walking into this encounter after respective losses in their opening warm-up fixtures against India and Australia. While England were comprehensively handed a defeat by Virat Kohli and his Men in Blue, Australia resorted to a strange tactic to beat New Zealand in the last game. Of course it was New Zealand’s game to be won but the Kangaroos chose to send a batsman in the form of Josh Inglis in number 9 to hand them a close victory. The Three Lions and the Black Caps will be looking to gain confidence ahead of the start of the pompous ICC World T20 2021 by registering a win tomorrow. Things are not going to be easy for them but for us money-making is easier and therefore I present to you three of the best betting tips from the ENG vs NZ warm-up T20 head-to-head prediction.

The team bets are the way forward during these warm-up matches as the aggregators have chosen to withhold the player bets. However, the team bets are no less lucrative than the player bets and in fact they are more genuine and guaranteed. Therefore, take a look at the ones I have picked from the ENG vs NZ head-to-head prediction.

England to win No, this is not based on any sort of hunch or random guesses! This purely based on numbers and things have been brighter when we trust the process of judging a situation with the help of statistics in cricket prediction. England and New Zealand went head on against each other 20 times in the past and the Three Lions have won on 13 occasions leaving only 7 victories for the Black Caps.

If you are not convinced enough, England went to New Zealand and played a five-match T20I series. The Three Lions came back from 1-2 to beat the Kiwis 3-2 in that series back in 2019. The World Cup score between these two teams remains 3-2 with England having their noses ahead. Sportsbet.io is offering odds of 1.64 for an England win in the ENG vs NZ warm-up T20 match prediction.

Team with top batsman England Next up we have another more or less guaranteed team bet for you guys to bet on. Since England have the upper hand in the overall head-to-head battles, I am going to vouch for them in this particular little duel as well. England have Jason Roy and Jos Buttler opening for them who are equally destructive and consistent. These two have been scoring at 30.30 and 53.33 respectively in 2021.

Jonny Bairstow played a wonderful knock against India in the last game where he romped up 49 runs from just 36 balls before he was knocked over by a beauty of a yorker from Jasprit Bumrah. Moeen Ali has just played two incredible back-to-back knocks and is looking in perilous form. Dawid Malan is the number one-ranked batsman in the world currently and has an average of 64.00 against the Kiwis. Sportsbet.io is offering odds of 1.66 for England to be the team with top batter in the ENG vs NZ warm-up T20 match prediction.

Team with highest score at 1st dismissal – New Zealand This is the trickiest one of the three and I am quite certain if things go well and as per the statistics, we will be able to clinch this as well. England might have their noses ahead in the other two races but New Zealand have the edge over the Trans-Tasman rivals. England were outplayed in this scenario in the first game of the warm-ups against India. They could add 36 runs for the first wicket between Jason Roy and Jos Buttler.

On the other hand, New Zealand were the team with the highest score after 1st dismissal against Australia in their first encounter in the UAE. Martin Guptill and Daryl Mitchell added 44 runs for the first wicket until the latter retired hurt or else they could have added more. New Zealand scored more runs for the first wicket than England in the last 2 out of 3 clashes against England. Sportsbet.io is offering odds of 1.84 for being the team with highest score at 1st dismissal in the ENG vs NZ warm-up T20 match prediction.

Desperate times call for desperate measures – there couldn’t be a more apt line to describe the state of English Cricket in the red-ball format. They were one of the worst-performing sides last year before they pressed the panic button, which brought about massive changes in the squad as well as the personnel supporting the squad.

First and foremost, Ben Stokes will be England’s new red-ball skipper and it will be interesting to see the changes he brings about as far as the on-field approach is concerned. Joe Root’s England was guilty of being too defensive at times and Ben Stokes would do well to play an aggressive brand of cricket right from the outset, especially considering their recent results. England have roped in Brendon McCullum as their coach and that certainly is an interesting choice.

As many expected, England will be coming into this match with a new-look side too. There are a number of new names included in the side and performing from the word go could be a big challenge for them. Having said that, the experience of playing in these conditions would certainly come in handy. Also, James Anderson and Stuart Broad have received the call to join the side, which certainly helps them buff up in the quick-bowling department.

With Alex Lees and Zak Crawley at the top, England will be coming in with yet another opening pair. They do have a much more solid middle-order this time, though, with the likes of Joe Root, Jonny Bairstow, and Ben Stokes available. With Ben Foakes batting at number seven and having Matthew Potts and Jack Leach to follow, the tail does look a little long.

All in all, England have an interesting mix of youth and experience. Some players will be batting at relatively unfamiliar positions while some others will be very new to the scene. It would be interesting to see how England deals with the pressure of resume well after a torrid run. They do have the experience available and if they are able to use that well, getting past them could prove to be a very challenging task.

It was just about this time last year when New Zealand started their quest for the ICC Test Championship in England. They then won a rare test series in England followed by their first ICC Trophy as they defeated India in the World Test Championship final. They will be looking to do similar again, at least in their assignment against England, but it is not going to be that easy.

With Ross Taylor now retired, New Zealand are at the beginning of another era. There are a number of differences in their side as compared to the one that won the championship last year. With Taylor and Ben Watling no longer available, it would be interesting to see how the Kiwi middle-order fares in the challenging conditions of England.

While New Zealand were brilliant till the build-up to the championship last year, they haven’t really enjoyed the same fate ever since their title victory. They were defeated by India in an away tour and failed to defeat South Africa and Bangladesh both in a home series. Also, they are coming into this match on the back of an embarrassing defeat in their practice match, which was played against County Select XI.

On paper, their bowling looks fine with the likes of Tim Southee, Kyle Jamieson, Neil Wagner, and Matt Henry available. With the likes of Daryl Mitchell and Colin de Grandhomme available in the mid-order, they do have a number of options with the ball, in case things do not go as per the plan. Having said that, Trent Boult will certainly be missed in the first match, given the skills and experience he brings to the table.

The concerning part about New Zealand’s lineup is certainly their batting, which failed twice in the practice match. Even though Will Young and Devon Conway have done well in the limited opportunities they have had, New Zealand’s batting unit does look a little inexperienced. Besides, Kane Williamson not performing certainly takes away that wee bit of confidence from their batting unit.

All in all, New Zealand do have a decent side with most players still being from their last year’s squad, but their performance recently has been disappointing. They would want their batsmen to step up in what are going to be challenging conditions. If they are able to do that, they should certainly be able to put hosts under pressure, especially with the bowling attack they have.

England has announced an unchanged eleven for the second test match as Jack Leach recovers and finds his way back into the playing eleven. There were a lot of positives to take for England from the previous match but as a bettor, you always have to look a bit deeper into the details.

The bowling attack for England looks fantastic. James Anderson and Stuart Broad are still the best new-ball pair in England so it is great to see them play together irrespective of their age. Matthew Potts ended up with six wickets in this first Test and showed just how dangerous he can be in English conditions as well.

With Ben Stokes as the fallback all-rounder and Jack Leach as the spinner, there could be a concern that England is one bowler short with this lineup. We saw how Daryll Mitchell and Tom Blundell got set and made England pay in the second inning of the first test.

England could struggle if the conditions are a bit batter-friendly or if New Zealand’s batters spend enough time at the crease.

The batting is all about Joe Root, who is easily the best Test batsman in the world right now. Root stroked his 27th century as he led England to what was quite a daunting target. It was only the brilliance of Joe Root that made it look like a walk in the park during the end.

Take him out of this lineup, though, and the rest start to look a bit dicey. Zak Crawley and Jonny Bairstow seemed out of sorts, Alex Lees is just getting started at the international level, and Ollie Pope is going to be under pressure to get some runs.

Even Ben Stokes had a tremendous amount of luck going his way in the first match.

As bettors, we would be quite wary of betting on this England batting lineup.

New Zealand had two or three terrific opportunities to close out the Test match and complete a remarkable fightback but that did not happen. We think New Zealand made a couple of mistakes with its team selection and they will end up correcting that this time around.

Colin de Grandhomme has been out injured and is likely to be replaced by Henry Nicholls. That will increase the bowling load on Daryll Mitchell but there is no way you can leave him out after his brilliant batting in the first test.

We also think New Zealand could go into this match without a spinner. Neil Wagner surely has to make a comeback into the eleven in place of Ajaz Patel.

From a bettor’s point of view, keep in mind that New Zealand came within an inch of winning the previous match (If only de Grandhomme would not have overstepped) and the loss in the previous match was it’s first in five matches against England.

They have a superb bowling attack led by Kyle Jaimeson, Tim Southee, and Trent Boult. We think they could add a fourth seamer for this match and strengthen that even further.

The batting was not up to the mark in the previous match but don’t count out the likes of Devon Conway, Kane Williamson, and Tom Latham just yet.

England will be praying the rain does not intervene and play spoilsport in this crucial encounter. Thankfully, it appears as if the rain will clear well before this match is scheduled to start. We have seen a strangely subdued England with the bat in this tournament.

Jos Buttler and the England team management have not been able to use the superb resources at their disposal efficiently. Alex Hales has yet to make a mark at the top of the order and Dawid Malan + Ben Stokes are struggling with their strike rate. Harry Brook has also not been able to live up to expectations so far.

Liam Livingstone and Moeen Ali, perhaps the two best T20 players in the England lineup after Buttler, have not got enough time in the middle. We could see some changes in the batting order but this is a vulnerable batting lineup, no matter how you look at it. It could be in trouble against the in-form New Zealand bowling attack.

England's bowling has been good without being spectacular. Chris Woakes has been punished and has not gotten the amount of help with the new ball that was expected. Sam Curran, Mark Wood, and Adil Rashid are the other leading bowlers of the team.

Apart from Wood, we think the rest of the bowlers could struggle as they lack the pace and do not get the movement to trouble the batters.

New Zealand's approach in the T20 World Cup 2022 has been fearless. They have made some strong decisions, like backing Finn Allen over Martin Guptill, and they have paid off. It helps that Devon Conway is in great form and Glenn Phillips is having a great tournament as well.

This gives New Zealand a dangerous batting lineup with Kane Williamson the only outlier. He has neither got runs nor has not been scoring at a good strike rate either. If Williamson does not start playing a bit more freely, his presence at the crease ends up being a hindrance to the New Zealand cause.

Jimmy Neesham, Mitch Santner, and Daryl Mitchell are in the lineup and they add a lot of depth to the batting.

New Zealand's bowling attack has been the most effective at picking up wickets early. Trent Boult and Tim Southee have been at their best with fantastic support from Lockie Ferguson as the third seamer. Jimmy Neesham is perhaps the only weak link in this bowling attack. Also, a combination of Ish Sodhi, Mitch Santner, and Glenn Phillips is required to bowl 8 overs in most matches.

That can be something that a strong batting lineup like England tackles.

England has been ruthless in the T20 World Cup 2021 so far. It may have lost its previous match to South Africa but it gave us a taste of its big-hitting abilities in that match as well. Coming into this semi-final, it has to answer two big questions.

The first is who to play at the opening position in place of Jason Roy and the second is if Mark Wood is the right option to replace Tymal Mills.

We think England is going to just add James Vince to the opening position and avoid changing the rest of the batting lineup. Vince is an excellent batsman who has scored plenty of runs opening the batting for England in recent times and you can look for betting markets that allow you to bet on him.

As for Tymal Mills’ replacement, we think Mark Wood is going to keep his place if he is fit.

England’s batting is very strong and while losing Roy is not ideal, we don’t think England is going to be affected much. Jos Buttler, Moeen Ali, Johnny Bairstow, Dawid Malan, Eoin Morgan, Liam Livingstone, Chris Woakes, and even Adil Rashid are all capable of scoring runs against any attack.

Abu Dhabi is a fixture where the ball tends to spin a bit but we will hopefully not get a used surface for an important match like this. Still, Moeen Ali, Liam Livingstone, and Adil Rashid are going to have a major role to play in this match.

Not too many people expected New Zealand to be able to make it into the semi-final of the T20 World Cup 2021 but it has. Like so many ICC events before, New Zealand has brought its absolute best to the occasion.

On a player-to-player basis, New Zealand will be found lacking against England. Its opening pair is not very convincing, the depth in the batting lineup is absent, and the power-hitting seems to be entirely dependent on Jimmy Neesham at the moment.

Kane Williamson is going to play a huge role at number three as he has the temperament and experience to play under pressure. We think he is an excellent choice for the Top Batsman New Zealand betting market.

Nevertheless, New Zealand will be hoping for the toss to go its way so that it can chase and just even the contest a bit. Otherwise, batting first and trying to get a big score on the board against England is going to be very tough.

New Zealand’s bowling has been quite good so far. Trent Boult, Tim Southee, Ish Sodhi, and Mitch Santner have all been exceptional in the conditions. The fifth bowler is a bit of a weak link and we think Jimmy Neesham can be targeted by the English batsmen.

New Zealand is often greater than the sum of its parts and that is what you have to take into account while placing your bets.
