Jemimah Rodrigues has risen to seventh place in the current T20I Rankings. She hit a match-winning 76 off 53 balls in an Asia Cup match against Sri Lanka.

Following the last weekly update on Tuesdays, West Indies skipper Hayley Matthews and India batter Jemimah Rodrigues have made big progress in the MRF Tyres ICC Women’s T20I Player Rankings.

Matthews topped the ICC Women’s Championship series against New Zealand last week. She has extended her good form into the upcoming five-match T20I series, which New Zealand now leads 2-1.

Matthews has risen eight places to third position. She levels with South African fast bowler Shabnim Ismail, following a four-for-twelve effort in the third T20I. Matthews scored 30 runs in the first innings of that match. She has moved up one spot to 33rd among hitters. She also ha moved three spots to second among all-rounders, trailing only New Zealand’s Sophie Devine.

Rodrigues is India’s third-best batter.

Rodrigues has risen four places to ninth after hitting a match-winning 76 off 53 against Sri Lanka in an Asia Cup match in Sylhet. She is the third-highest ranked Indian hitter, after Smriti Mandhana (third) and Shafali Verma (seventh). Skipper Harmanpreet Kaur moves up to 13th after gaining two positions.

Bangladesh captain Nigar Sultana (25th), Pakistan captain Bismah Maroof (28th), and India all-rounder Deepti Sharma (36th) have all moved up a spot, while Pakistan’s Nida Dar and Bangladesh’s Fargana Hoque have all moved up to 44th position. Former Bangladesh captain Salma Khatun has moved up four places to 49th place.

Sharma, Khatun, and Dar have also made minor inroads into the top 20, while Pakistan’s new-ball bowler Diana Baig has risen three places to 16th after taking three wickets in two Asia Cup matches.

Fran Jones of New Zealand has risen 90 places to 69th. They secured three wickets in the third match against the West Indies.
