Bappi Lahiri has been cremated; Bappa’s son, the Mukerjis, Vidya Balan, and others have paid their respects.

On Tuesday night, Bappi Lahiri died of sleep apnea.

Died of sleep apnea in a Mumbai hospital on Tuesday night while being treat for a number of diseases. He was 69 years old at the time.

The composer’s son, to attend from Los Angeles. Bappa Lahiri was photography during his father’s death rites after travelling into Mumbai with his family. He and Rani Mukerji’s brother Raja were among the pallbearers.

Family and friends attended the funeral, including actress Vidya Balan, who starred in the 2011 film The Dirty Picture, in which Bappi Lahiri sung the song Ooh La La.

Apart from Raja, several other Mukerji family members were there. 

Sharbani, Kajol and Rani Mukerji’s cousin, was present at the funeral, as was her brother Samrat. Biswajit Chatterjee, who co-starred with Anil Kapoor and Amrita Singh in the 1985 film Saaheb. Which included one of Bappi Lahiri’s most well-known songs, Pyar Bina Chain Kaha Re, was also present.
