Keith Barker: Martin Andersson, a fellow allrounder, has signed a new contract with Middlesex until the end of 2024. Hampshire has extended Keith Barker’s contract, keeping him at the club until the end of the 2023 season.
Since joining Hampshire from Warwickshire at the close of the 2018 season.
Keith Barker, 34, has established himself as a major player of the four-day side, taking 41 wickets at an average of 18.41 in the LV= Insurance County Championship last summer

He took 21 wickets in four matches at the Divisional stage of the championship. Including a career-best 7 for 46 against Nottinghamshire. As Hampshire came agonizingly close to winning their first Championship crown since 1973.
In May, he showed his class with the bat by scoring 84 runs. To lead Hampshire to a seven-wicket victory over Middlesex at Lord’s.
Keith Barker said:
“I thought I performed quite well last year, and to be able to go. For another two years is really all I could ask for,”
“I definitely want us to win the red-ball trophy and push as hard as we can for it. We’re making the proper strides this winter and perhaps we’ll be able to get over the finish line next year.”
Barker has been crowned Hampshire’s Red Ball Bowler of the Year. At the club’s end-of-season awards and was also nominated Players’ Player of the Year by his peers.
