Shoaib Akhtar: Former Pakistani bowler Shoaib Akhtar believes there may be two camps within Team India and said the teams appear to be separated.
Pakistan bowling legend Shoaib Akhtar said he was surprised by India’s disastrous performance at the ongoing T20 World Cup and said there seemed to be a division within the team.
Shoaib Akhtar said Virat Kohli & Co. was played on Sunday after losing the second Group 2 game with New Zealand on 8 wickets.
It was India’s second consecutive defeat in the tournament as Kiwi defeated 111 players from India with just 14.3 over.
Team India had previously lost to rival Pakistan with 10 wickets, making it difficult to compete in the semi-finals.
In a video on his Youtube channel, Aktal said there could be two camps within the Indian team, one of which could be directed to Kori.
Former high-speed bowler also said that despite making some bad decisions in the first two games, he is a great cricket player and everyone needs to respect Kori.
Akhtar said:
“Yes, criticism is important because they played bad cricket against New Zealand and had the wrong attitude. Yesterday, after they lost the toss, everyone’s heads were down.
“They had no idea whatsoever. India, you only lost the toss by that time, not the whole match. They were just present there, and had no gameplan whatsoever.” Akhtar signed off.
Former high-speed bowlers also criticized Team India for their stance on New Zealand, saying players seemed exhausted after losing a throw.
Inia will play her third match against Afghanistan at the T20 World Cup on Wednesday.
