Suryakumar’s fitness issue opened the doors for Ishan Kishan’s World Cup debut. The southpaw opened the batting against New Zealand. But couldn’t make an impact as he was dismissed for a score of 4 by Trent Boult.
Kishan started batting with KL Rahul, but New Zealand bowler reduced Virat Kohli’s team to 48/4 with 10.1 over Kishan (4), Rahul (18), Rohit Sharma (14), and Kohli (14) At that time. Team India had no joy.
When all the batters died trying to hit a big punch. They were fired one by one because India’s top order collapsed to get a big score on the board.
India scored 110/7 with 20 overs and Ravindra Jadeja was undefeated 26th.
