MS Dhoni visits Deori Maa Temple in Ranchi ahead of the IPL 2024. MS Dhoni is set to play his final IPL season in 2024.
Former India captain MS Dhoni paid a visit to Ranchi’s historic Deori Maa temple on Tuesday, February 2006. Notably, the 42-year-old has been enjoying his time off the field since retiring from international cricket in 2020, making several public appearances in his hometown in recent months.
The wicketkeeper batsman visited the temple surrounded by his admirers and even posed for pictures. The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain is anticipated to play his final season in the 2018 Indian Premier League (IPL), therefore he chose to seek divine blessings before the tournament.

Dhoni led CSK to a record-breaking fifth IPL trophy in 2023, defeating defending champions Gujarat Titans in a dramatic final at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The ‘Captain Cool’ battled through a knee ailment all season. Shown at his vintage best as he took on the bowlers from the start. He also has the fourth highest number of sixes in tournament history, with 239 maximums. The 2023 edition supposed to be the final season for ‘Captain Cool. As supporters also flocked to stadiums across India to see their beloved ‘Thala’ in action.
However, at the post-match presentation in the final. Dhoni announce that he would be delight to return for the following season as a thank you to his fans who have showered him with enormous love across the country.
