England’s aggressive style of cricket, led by Ben Stokes and head coach Brendon McCullum, transformed Test matches. It has been very successful for them in previous years, but its viability in India’s spin-friendly climate is being question. Despite this, former Indian cricketer Sunil Gavaskar believes that the ‘Bazball’ idea may be applied in India. “It can work in India. If you look at it, the limits have gotten thinner in recent years. The bats have gotten better, and even mishits are soaring over the fence. I believe the English batsmen will aim to take the spinners out of the game. They’ll try to hit them into the stands. Yes, they may be sack in the process, but you establish a mindset. ” Gavaskar told Star Sports.
“Our spinners play a lot of T20 cricket. What is your mentality in T20 cricket? It’s fine if you don’t take wickets, but you try not to surrender sixes or boundaries. “Your flight and line… you tend to change them,” he said.

England to reach India on Monday ahead of Test series to be played against India
Meanwhile, England are due to arrive in India on Monday, January 22, three days before the first Test in Hyderabad. They established a preparatory camp in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) where hitters competed against spinners. After arriving in India, the Ben Stokes-led team is slated to have two practice sessions before the first Test on January 25.
