IPL 2024 will be huge for me’ – Riyan Parag. Riyan Parag score back-to-back centuries in the ongoing Ranji Trophy.
After receiving a lot of criticism for his underachievement in the previous season of the Indian Premier League, teenager Riyan Parag returned to his best after slamming back-to-back century for Assam in the current Ranji Trophy. He plays a fearless style of cricket that has worked wonderfully for him in red-ball cricket, so the 22-year-old has chosen to develop his white-ball game in the 2018 IPL season.

Reflecting on this, Riyan Parag stated that he is expressing himself more these days and is working hard on the nets
The all-rounder stated that he worked with his father, Parag Das, and Zubin Bharucha to improve his skills, and that he intends to have a successful IPL in 2024.
“I’m expressing myself more on the field now. My mindset is to hit the first ball for a six if it is within my range, and I don’t mind getting out for doing so. During the offseason, I worked on my game with my father, Parag Das, and Zubin Bharucha. I always had the shots, but I realized I needed to practice more. Cricket is primarily about muscle memory. So I try to be more repetitious in practice and replicate that in games,” Parag told Sporstar.
“The IPL will be big for me. I’m only thinking about taking my domestic form into the IPL. I understand that this is a different event, and the bowlers are more skilled, but my ability remains intact. This time around, I might be batting higher up the order in the IPL. I’ve always batted at number four for Assam, and if you do something consistently, people pay attention,” the Rajasthan Royals star explained.
Notably, Parag projected the same for IPL 2023, as well as smashing four sixes each over during the competition. However, this did not occur, and as a result, the cricketer was exposed to extensive trolling. He is determined to improve this time around and assist Rajasthan win their second IPL title.
