Jos Buttler is content with the lessons he learned from his losses in the Caribbean. England lost the T20I series 3-2 after losing the ODI series to the West Indies 2-1.
England captain Jos Buttler is please with his team’s performance despite a 3-2 loss to the West Indies in the recent T20I series. Following a poor showing in the 2023 ODI World Cup in India, the Three Lions lost the ODI series 2-1 to West Indies before losing the five-match T20I series, raising numerous questions about Buttler’s leadership.
Despite the concerns, Buttler stated that there have been some ups and downs. The team management is unconcern. Buttler stated that some of the players have stepped up and that he is please with the results. He went on to say that the tour was a success since they learn a lot about the conditions under which the T20 World Cup 2024 will be contest, with the West Indies and the United States hosting the game in June.
“Obviously, certain players have stood up and performed admirably. You want to win, and I believe we all wanted to win the series, and it’s difficult to say when you’ve lost, but I believe we’ve learned some valuable lessons. There have been many ups and downs this year, but it is always crucial to keep looking forward. So, sure, it’s been a good series. ” Buttler cited by Cricbuzz as adding.

During the ODI series, England’s ace bowler Jofra Archer joined the team for training. The 28-year-old had a stress fracture during the IPL 2023 and has since missed the Ashes and the ODI World Cup. The ECB has opted to proceed cautiously with Archer. Buttler commented on Archer’s comeback to training, saying that it was wonderful to see him bowl well and that it is vital for the pacer to take his time and return to the group.
“I haven’t talked to Jof yet.” Having seen him in Barbados, it was great to see him back in training with us and bowling brilliantly. I know the medical experts and colleagues have a fantastic strategy for him, and I believe I speak for all England cricket supporters and cricket fans all around the world when I say that we want Jof back and back for good. So I believe it’s critical that he takes his time,” Buttler remarked.
