English cricketer Tom Curran recently made headlines after receiving a four-match suspension in the ongoing BBL. Curran, in particular, was penalized with a Level 3 breach under Cricket Australia’s code of conduct for a pre-match incident in which he nearly collided with the reserve umpire. Curran’s ban has gripped the cricket world.
The video of the incident in which Curran was seen arguing with the umpire has also been doing the rounds on social media. Many supporters spoke out against Curran’s behavior. However, Sydney Sixers captain Moises Henriques stepped out to defend Curran.
“At the time, I didn’t think much of it.” I don’t think anyone else did, and I’ve seen the ten-second clip; it’s not amazing, but you can’t completely appreciate the context there either. “There was some communication before and after that was probably not released as well,” Henriques told Fox Sports.
“I’ve known Tom for a long time, I used to play with him at Surrey, and he’s been a big part of the Sixers for a long time.” He’s a wonderful man, a true community leader, and a member of our team. “I’m still struggling to understand that kind of punishment for what he’s done,” he continued.

Furthermore, Henriques revealed that the suspension had a significant impact on Tom Curran. He claimed that the English cricketer has taken the situation seriously. Curran was also concerned about his character’s assassination.
“It’s been a tough 11 days for TC – sitting on this and knowing what he’s like, he’s taken it to heart. He’s really concerned about the assassination of the character there.” This is a significant assertion. “I wish him all the best,” Henriques remarked.”
“We’re definitely going to appeal because it took ten days to get a hearing in the first place, which is very unusual.” “All of our players and staff are behind him,” he continued.
