National, 29 November 2023: Paarl Royals name former New Zealand bowler Shane Bond as their new head coach for the SA20 season in 2024. Bond takes over for former South African all-rounder JP Duminy, who is presently serving with the national team.

He just hire as an assistant coach and quick bolwing coach for the IPL by Paarl Royals’ sister team, Rajasthan Royals.
