Ian Smith impersonates Ravi Shastri in the commentary box during the IND versus NED match

Ian Smith impersonates Ravi Shastri in the commentary box during the IND versus NED match. Ian Smith’s mimicry left Ravi Shastri and Anjum Chopra in splits.

On Sunday, November 12, India and the Netherlands will face off in Match 44 of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 at M.Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. Rohit Sharma, India’s captain, won the toss and chose to bat first. The Indian captain backed up his choice by scoring 100 runs for the first wicket with Shubman Gill. Fans were treated to a surprise in the commentary box, when former New Zealand cricketer turn commentator Ian Smith was observed copying Ravi Shastri’s commentary style.

The event occurred in the 30th over of the innings, when Smith thanked Shastri for redesigning the toss. Which was formerly a dull affair with two captains and a match referee. However, the former India cricketer turn broadcaster disagreed with Smith, claiming that it was still the same, forcing Smith to mimic him and demonstrate the difference.
