The Director of Delhi Capitals has confirmed that Rishabh Pant would participate in the IPL 2024. Rishabh Pant has been out since December 2022 due to a near-fatal vehicle accident.
Rishabh Pant, India’s wicket-keeper batsman, has made amazing improvement in the months since his tragic vehicle accident on December 30, 2022. The 26-year-old just joined the Delhi Capitals training camp in Kolkata. Will not be exercising alongside his colleagues during their early season preparations.
Sourav Ganguly, the Delhi Capitals’ Director of Cricket, recently provide an update on Pant’s fitness and indicated that he is in good form. Ganguly then provided the much-anticipated news for Pant’s fans: the cricketer would participate in the upcoming season of the IPL.
“Rishabh Pant is in good physical condition. He will begin playing next season. He is not going to practice right now. He’ll be here till November 11th. We discussed the team with Pant, since he is the captain, in light of the approaching auctions. ” Sourav Ganguly told India Today in Kolkata.
Notably, Pant did not appear to be bother when going about the training camp in Kolkata. He also not spot using any knee straps, despite his remarkable improvement toward full health. The Delhi-born batsman is set to return to competitive cricket early next year, according to India Today.

Pant likely to make international return in England Test series
Furthermore, he is likely to return to international cricket during the home Test series against England beginning in January 2024. Pant was recently sight with India all-rounder Axar Patel at the Lord Balaji Temple in Tirupathi, Andhra Pradesh.
Meanwhile, the Delhi Capitals are one of the few teams who have began their training camp in preparation for the upcoming IPL season, which begins in around five months. Some of the available Delhi Capitals players began practicing at the Jadavpur University second Campus Cricket Association of Bengal venue in Saltlake, Kolkata. Pant landed in Kolkata on Thursday and is to stay until November 11.
DC had a dismal season in 2023, finishing second-to-last (ninth) in the points table with five victories from 14 matches and 10 points. With the return of their normal captain, Pant, they will be anxious for a change of fortunes in the forthcoming season.
