A fan files a FIR against the BCCI, CAB, and BookMyShow for encouraging World Cup ticket black marketing. Several supporters have protested about ticket black-marketing during the current World Cup 2023.
So far, the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 has been an interesting tournament, with spectators witnessing some magnificent cricketing action. However, numerous fans have voiced dissatisfaction with the ticket purchase process for the cricket spectacular. Claiming that they were force to wait for hours in a virtual queue just to find out that tickets were sold out at the last minute.
A fan has filed a FIR against the BCCI, BookMyShow, and the CAB ahead of India’s eighth match against South Africa on Sunday, November 05 at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. The general public has been unable to book tickets for the mega clash.
According to the lawsuit, the BCCI, CAB, and BookMyShow have kept a substantial number of tickets that were schedule to be issue to the general public in order to sell to black marketers for personal benefit. The Kolkata Police Department acted quickly. Issuing a summons to CAB and BookMyShow staff on Thursday, November 02, to aid with the inquiry.

BCCI and BookMyShow yet to release statement on the matter
However, neither the BCCI nor BookMyShow have issued a remark on the purported incident. Notably, multiple incidents have emerge during the current tournament. In which supporters have complain about World Cup tickets being sold at high prices in illegal markets. Several examples of openly sold fraudulent tickets have also report by die-hard fans.
