The star batter is vying for success in the ongoing World Cup and will be looking to outdo his idol’s accomplishment in the forthcoming matches. However, while reflecting on his career achievements, Kohli confessed that he had never imagined reaching such heights in his career.
“When it comes to cricket, I never thought I’d be where I am now. How God has bless me with such a career span and performances. ” I’d always want to do this, but I never imagined things would turn out precisely the way they did. Nobody can plan your trip and how things unfold in front of you. “I never imagined I’d score so many hundreds and so many runs in 12 years,” Kohli stated on Star Sports.
The Delhi-born batsman revealed the key to his success by saying that his whole emphasis has been on playing well for the team and winning games in difficult conditions.

“My sole focus was on performing well for the team and winning games for the team in difficult situations. ” For that, I made a number of modifications along the way in terms of discipline and lifestyle. I’ve always been driven, but I lack professionalism. Now I have a single-minded concentration on how I want to play the game. The results I’ve obtain are the consequence of doing so. The game rewards effort. That is what I have learned from my career. I’ve play cricket by giving it my all on the field, and the rewards I’ve receive from it have been provide to me by God. I never imagine things would turn out this way. ” He added
Notably, Kohli has 13,437 runs to his name from 287 ODIs at an average of 57.91 and a strike rate of 93.63 with 48 hundreds and 69 fifties. The Delhi-born batter will be hoping to continue his good form in the upcoming matches of the World Cup.
