Shakib Al Hasan returns to Dhaka to train with mentor. Bangladesh is presently at the bottom of the table, with only one win in five matches.
Bangladesh skipper Shakib Al Hasan has recently opted to take a fresh strategy in an attempt to restore his form during the 2017 ICC World Cup. While the rest of the squad traveled to Kolkata for future games against the Netherlands and Pakistan, Shakib chose to stay in Dhaka and work with his instructor, Nazmul Abedeen Faheem.
Shakib landed in Dhaka on Wednesday afternoon, a day after Bangladesh was defeated by South Africa by 149 runs in Mumbai, and headed directly to the Shere Bangla National Stadium to train with Abedeen. Shakib spent three hours in the nets, primarily taking throwdowns.

Shakib has struggled at the World Cup with the bat, scoring only 56 runs in four innings
He has also taken six wickets. All of this while Bangladesh has lost four of its five games and is at the bottom of the points standings.
This decision has some people scratching their heads, as Shakib’s recent problems on the pitch have matched Bangladesh’s dismal performance in the competition. They are presently at the bottom of the points rankings.
Shakib has arrived in Dhaka, and they will practice together for three days before he goes to Kolkata, according to Faheem. The emphasis of their workout was mostly on batting, with throwdowns in the nets playing an important role.
“He showed up today. “We will train for three days,” Faheem said to ESPNcricinfo. “Today, tomorrow, and the next day, he will return to Kolkata.” Today we concentrated on his batting.”
