Mitchell Santner hits a waist-high no-ball over deep point for a six-point play. Mitchell Santner cameoed brilliantly, scoring 36* off 17 balls.
Match 6 of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 takes place at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad between New Zealand and the Netherlands. New Zealand scored 322/7 in their allotted 50 overs after being put in to bat first by Netherlands captain Scott Edwards. The Kiwis’ half-centuries came from Will Young (70 off 80), Rachin Ravindra (51 off 51), and Tom Latham (53 off 46).
Mitchell Santner also contributed late in the game with a magnificent cameo of 36* off 17 balls, slamming three fours and two sixes. Bas de Leede bowled the final over of the innings, and the southpaw made the most of it by smashing him for back-to-back sixes off the last two balls. The crowd was on the edge of their seats as he clobbered a high full throw for a maximum over deep point on his first six. Because the delivery was classified as a no ball because it was over waist height, Santer was given a free hit on the next ball.
As a result, the southpaw accomplished the near-impossible feat of scoring 13 runs on one legal delivery with a no-ball and a free hit awarded for the next delivery.
The tailender made full most of it, whacking it over long on for another massive six to round things out in style.

The left-arm spinner was named Player of the Match for his all-round performance. Which helped New Zealand defeat the Netherlands by 99 runs by bundling them out for 223.
The Kiwis will try to maintain their winning streak when they face Bangladesh on Friday, October 13 at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
