Healing has taken longer than I would have liked: Glenn Maxwell. Maxwell fractured his leg shortly after the T20 World Cup 2022.
Glenn Maxwell, Australia’s flamboyant all-rounder, has been pick to the 16-man team for the three-match One-Day International series against India, which begins March 17 in Mumbai. Incidentally, the all-rounder sideline after fracturing his leg in a freak accident sustained after Australia’s T20 World Cup 2022 campaign.
He has now healed and has been called up for the India series, but the 34-year-old has expressed dissatisfaction with the speed with which he has recovered.

Glenn Maxwell also stated that he would have like to play some cricket before joining the One-Day side.
“That may not have occurred as quickly as I would have hoped. I probably would have preferred to start playing cricket sooner. “But, because I understood the schedule for the one-day side, and that was probably the realistic target. I able to alter my rehab program to meet the timeline that I was racing against. ” Maxwell added, according to ESPNcricinfo.
“Having not played for three-and-a-half months, I took a conscious choice to make sure I filled up my calendar with cricket to lead into that World Cup at the back end of the year. Clearly, there’s the one-day series, which will be a major series, especially with the World Cup in India coming up at the end of the year.
It will be a wonderful chance for us to test out some things and have our game plan ready for the end of the year, especially with the IPL coming up right after. “I’m getting acclimated to the Indian conditions again and spending a lot of time over there working on my game, which will lead into the Blast and the Hundred,” Maxwell continued.
