Australia is making the most of their opportunity by practicing on Indian wickets in order to acclimate to the subcontinental conditions. Coach Andrew McDonald discussed the importance of additional match practice with Sen Radio. “It’s very evident, isn’t it, their objective with the surfaces they want to play on?” he asked. We were anticipating that, so as I previously stated, we were quite explicit about what we expected. We received just that when we arrived. They’re not naughty boy nets today (the planned session). We have a large roster of 17 players, therefore various guys are on different training plans.”
He went on to say how the squad is preparing for the upcoming game. “A handful of players from the game will come down, so they’ll be seen at training,” he added. But it’s not bad boy nets; it’s simply getting ready for the next game.”
The series’ second Test begins on Friday, February 17 in Delhi. The pitch in Delhi may potentially be a twisting track, which may provide further difficulties for the Australians.
