The PCB has threatened to sue former chairman Ramiz Raja. “PCB has the right to initiate legal procedures to safeguard and defend its Chairman’s and the institution’s image and integrity. ” PCB stated in an official statement on Wednesday.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has vowed to sue its former chairman Ramiz Raja following his abrupt dismissal last week. Ramiz had a wild outburst after being remove from office, prompting the PCB to express its regret in an official statement on Wednesday (December 28).
The PCB feels Ramiz Raja’s statements on the incoming chairman. Najam Sethi, and the management committee were unusual and intend to destroy Sethi’s and the governing body’s reputation.
“The Pakistan Cricket Board has expressed its dissatisfaction over the statements. Language use by previous Chairman Mr Ramiz Raja on a social media platform and in a TV interview against Chairman of the PCB Management Committee Mr Najam Sethi,” the PCB stated in an official statement.
“The PCB believes that former chairman Mr Raja’s comments are intende to tarnish and harm the impeccable reputation of current chairman Mr Sethi. It reserves the right to pursue legal action to protect and defend the image and credibility of its chairman and the institution. ” The statement continued.
