KL Rahul lacks experience as a captain: Wasim Jaffer. KL Rahul took over as India’s captain after Rohit Sharma had to leave the field due to a medical emergency in the second ODI against Bangladesh.
Despite a strong start, the Bangla Tigers finished on 271/7 after 50 overs. Mehidy Hasan Miraz (100*) and Mahmudullah (77) looked rock solid in the middle, helping Bangladesh post a match-winning total as India fell by five runs.
While praising the Bangladeshi players, Jaffer says India required an experienced captain in the middle. KL Rahul has extensive experience in the Indian Premier League, but in international cricket, the 30-year-old has had little opportunities. As a result, Jaffer believes it may have had a part but is unwilling to use it as an explanation.

The third ODI will be played without Rohit Sharma, Deepak Chahar, and Kuldeep Sen.
Despite his outstanding performance in the second ODI, Indian skipper Rohit Sharma will not play in the third match and may miss the first Test due to a thumb injury sustained in the previous encounter. According to sources, Abhimanyu Easwaran is expect to take his position if Sharma is ruled out.
In the bowling department, Mohammad Shami and Jasprit Bumrah have already been rule out due to injuries, and Deepak Chahar and Kuldeep Sen have now followed suit. With Kuldeep Yadav added to India’s squad for the final One-Day International against Bangladesh, the Men in Blue are likely to slot him straight into the playing XI in Chattogram.
