On Sunday, Pakistan’s cricket lineup put on a ‘ordinary’ game with the bat against England in the T20 World Cup final. Batting first, Babar Azam and company scored only 137 runs. Skipper Babar had the longest time on the field, batting for 28 deliveries and scoring 32 runs. During the mid-innings break, Harbhajan Singh continued to criticize Pakistan’s captain for the way in which he batted.
“Pakistan will be disappointed with their batting effort. They didn’t take their chances early on and Babar was pretty ordinary in my book. You are the captain of this ship and you cannot bat like that. 28 balls and you are just scoring 32 runs. You are putting your team in deep deep trouble. They couldn’t come over it.”

Babar Azam got 28 points from 32 balls in the T20 World Cup final versus England.
For England, the best ball players were Sam Curran and Adil Rashid. Curran was absolutely outstanding, taking 3 for 12 in 4 overs. Rashid, on the other hand, took two wickets for 22 runs.
The other England bowlers that took at least one wicket apiece were Chris Jordan (2 for 27) and Ben Stokes (1 for 32).
The game turned out to be another wild ride. Pakistan played well with the ball, particularly at the top, when Alex Hales (1) and Phil Salt (10) left early.
Ben Stokes and Harry Brook did form a partnership before the latter was dismissed for 20 off 23. Following Brook’s exit, Stokes teamed together with Moeen Ali to cruise England’s charge. In the 19th over, Moeen also left for 13-ball 19.
With Liam Livingstone at the other end of the ground, Stokes stayed undefeated on 52 as England won the T20 World Cup by five wickets for the second time in their history.
