Ravi Shastri has announced that he will not return to coaching duties. Shastri’s coaching tenure with the Indian team ended last year, following the T20 World Cup 2021.
Former India head coach Ravi Shastri has always been a dynamic personality, whether he is a player, a commentator, or a coach. During his playing career, he was regarded as a match-winner. He charmed the audience with his commanding voice when he decided to pick up the microphone and enter the broadcasting world after retiring.
When he returned to the Indian team as a manager and then as head coach, he brought the same vibe with him. Under Shastri’s leadership, the Indian squad ventured into uncharted territory, particularly in the traditional format of the game. Despite failing to win an ICC trophy during his tenure, India made history in whites by defeating England in 2021 and defeating Australia twice in a row in their own backyard.

Ravi Shastri announced the end of his coaching career after completing his duties with distinction.
Shastri told Sports Today that he will be watching and enjoying the game from the sidelines, rather than taking on coaching duties again.
“Mera coaching ka hisaab khatham ho gaya,” says the coach (My time with coaching has come to an end). Mein kar liya saal jitna karna tha (For seven years, I have done enough). If I do any coaching, it will be at the grassroots level, which I have a company that does. That is something I will do. Otherwise, my coaching career has come to an end. Now I’ll watch the game from afar and enjoy it,” Shastri said.
