KL Rahul is ‘excited’ to face Pakistan in the Asia Cup. “Competing against a good team like Pakistan is always exciting and a great challenge,” said KL Rahul.
Team India vice-captain KL Rahul has stated that the team is very excited to play against their arch-rivals in the 2022 T20 Asia Cup opener. To be sure, India and Pakistan will meet on August 28 during the 2022 T20 Asia Cup (Sunday).
Rahul also stated that the Indian players are looking forward to the match. Because neither team plays each other in any bilateral series and only meets during major events. Notably, both teams met in the 2021 edition of the T20 World Cup in the UAE. Where Pakistan defeated India by a 10-wicket margin.
“Everyone is very excited. As players and as an Indian team, we are looking forward to this India-Pakistan match because we only get to play each other in big tournaments. “Competing against a good team like Pakistan is always an exciting time and a great challenge,” KL Rahul said during a press conference.

Rahul also stated that they are not concerned about Kohli’s batting form because he has been an integral part of Team India for many years. “We are not concerned about Kohli’s form because he has done so many times for India – his mindset will remain the same to win the game for India – we all want him to get back into form,” Rahul said.
“We don’t place much emphasis on comments. It has no effect on a player, especially a world-class player like Virat, who is unaffected by what others are saying. He’s taken a break and is working on his game,” he continued.
