Krunal Pandya of Warwickshire ruled out of the ongoing Royal London One-Day Cup due to a groin injury.
Krunal Pandya of India has been ruled out of the remainder of Warwickshire’s Royal London One-Day Cup tournament. After suffering a groin injury against Nottinghamshire last week. With Pandya no longer in the Indian team management and selectors’ plans for white-ball cricket. He look to make the most of his Warwickshire stint in the hopes of returning to the national team.
The southpaw had scored 37 against Nottingham. But did not return to the field and thus missed Warwickshire’s next two games against Middlesex and Durham. With Krunal Pandya ruled out of the Royal London One-Day Cup competition, it is unclear who will take his place and what Krunal’s rehabilitation process will entail.

“It’s disappointing to lose Krunal for the remainder of the tournament, but he leaves the club with our best wishes,” Warwickshire’s director of cricket Paul Farbrace said in a statement.
“Krunal an excellent role model for the group, and I’m sure the younger members of the squad learn a lot from him both on and off the field,” he added.
Krunal Pandya has played five matches in the ongoing Royal London competition, scoring 134 runs and averaging 33.50. At The Oval, his best individual performance was a 74-run knock against Surrey.
According to reports, the extent of Pandya’s injury is such that he will be out of action for three weeks and will be unavailable for the knockouts if his team qualifies first.
Meanwhile, Krunal has not been a part of the Indian squad since July of last year, and with already fierce competition among the current members of the Indian squad, particularly in the middle order and all-rounder categories, it is a foregone conclusion that Pandya does not fit into the jigsaw puzzle for the T20 World Cup Down Under in October-November.
