Resellers warned not to sell match tickets for the epic India-Pakistan Asia Cup clash. On August 28, India and Pakistan will clash in Dubai.
With the Asia Cup 2022 set to begin on August 27. All eyes will be on the blockbuster match between archrivals. India and Pakistan on August 28 at the Dubai International Stadium. What’s more, both teams will renew their rivalry at the same venue where the Men in Green broke their World Cup jinx. Over the Indian team last October with a comprehensive 10-wicket win.
With the India-Pakistan match just around the corner. Demand for match tickets has only increased, but it has also been revealed that a few fans are attempting to make quick money by reselling them. According to the shocking revelation, fans who purchase tickets at a predetermined price are now looking to resell them at exorbitant prices.
Fans reselling tickets to the India-Pakistan match for personal gain
Platinum List, Asia Cup’s official ticketing partner. Issued a clear warning that tickets purchased from resellers will be automatically canceled. Further explaining the situation, the Platinum List stated that reselling tickets is against government regulations.
“Customers are advise not to purchase Platinumlist-branded tickets resold. Through so-called secondary ticketing websites or online selling sites,” said Platinum List, as quoted by Khaleej Times.
“If the customer purchases more than one ticket for the same event, (they should) enter at the same time,” the statement continued.
On Monday, August 15, tickets for the high-octane India-Pakistan match and other Asia Cup 2022 matches went on sale. The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) officially tweeted this a few days ago.
The 15th Asia Cup was forced to be moved at the last minute to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) after Sri Lanka refused to host the continental tournament due to ongoing political and economic tensions in the country.
