Arshdeep Singh is a fantastic option for India in the T20 World Cup and the Asia Cup: Danmark Kaneria. Arshdeep Singh impressed against England in his T20I debut earlier this month.
Former Pakistan spinner Danish Kaneria believes that emerging pacer Arshdeep Singh could be an excellent option for India in this year’s Asia Cup and T20 World Cup. Arshdeep, who was impressive in the last two editions of the IPL and has the ability to bowl well-disguised yorkers, finally found a place in the Indian T20I squad during the first game against England earlier this month.
Kaneria commented on Arshdeep’s potential to be the next big thing in Indian fast bowling, saying that the left-arm speedster can certainly be a valuable asset for India in both major tournaments this year because he bowls sensibly and knows how to take wickets. Simultaneously, the veteran spinner stated that Arshdeep Singh can make an impression on the Dubai wickets during the Asia Cup.

Danish Kaneria believes Arshdeep Singh can succeed as a left-arm pacer.
“Take my word for it. Arshdeep will play in the third ODI and contribute. Arshdeep possesses the skill, and he bowls with his mind. He bowls with finesse and understands how to take wickets. He could be a fantastic option for the Indian team in the T20 World Cup and possibly in the Asia Cup as well. “The Asia Cup will be held in Dubai, and he can be successful as a left-arm pacer,” Kaneria said on his YouTube channel.
Arshdeep Singh made a good first impression in his T20I debut against England, bowling 2/18 in 3.3 overs with an economy of 5.1 and a maiden. With less than three months until the T20 World Cup in Australia, the Indian think tank would be eager to give Singh a few more chances in the future.
It will be interesting to see if the left-arm pacer makes the playing XI for the upcoming five T20Is, which begin on Friday, July 29 as the final auditions for the Asia Cup and the T20 World Cup begin.
