Virat Kohli defended Kamlesh Nagarkoti after the young pacer booed by the Indian crowd at the Uptonsteel Cricket Ground during the ongoing tour game between India and Leicestershire. On Day 2, a fan kept asking Nagarkoti to pose for a photo with him while the player was out in the middle as a substitute fielder. Kohli, on the other hand, was not pleased with the fan’s behavior and was quick to confront him.

“Kabse bula rha hoon, photo he nahi khicha raha,” she says. My job is choddh ke yaha aaya hu. To khichwana chahie kam se kam photo. Bula raha hoon nagarkoti ko (Translation: “I’ve been asking for photos all the time. I arrived here after taking the day off from work. After Kohli confronted him, the fan can be heard saying in Hindi, “So, I’ve been calling Nagarkoti to click a photo with me at least)”
“Match khelne aaya hai ya photo khichwane aaya hai,” Kohli said from the pavilion.
On Day 2, Team India took an 82-run lead over Leicestershire going into Day 3.
India had initially declared at 246 for eight, thanks largely to KS Bharat’s unbeaten knock of 70.
Roman Walker took five wickets for Leicestershire, while Will Davis also took two.
In response, Leicestershire’s Rishabh Pant starred with the bat, smashing a brilliant 76. Walker (34) and Rishi Patel (34) also contributed to Leicestershire’s total of 244.
India were 80 for one after taking a two-run lead on Day 2 before stumps were called.
