Hardik Pandya sacrifices he made for his comeback.
“You know, I’ve gotten up at 5 a.m. to make sure I train, and then I make sure I train again at 4 p.m. to give myself enough rest. I slept almost every night at 9:30 p.m. for almost four months. Many sacrifices were made, but for me, it was the battle I fought prior to playing in the IPL. It was more satisfying for me as a cricketer after seeing the outcome “He continued.
When asked about his return to the national team, Pandya stated: “Obviously ecstatic. Playing for your country has always been a special experience, especially after such a long break. You know you’re coming back fresh and excited to be back. It sort of gives me an opportunity to show what I’ve worked hard for, and you know, doing well for the country is more important, and it gives me immense pleasure, so I’m just hoping for some positive and exciting days ahead.”
India lost the first T20I against South Africa by seven wickets despite scoring 211/4 in 20 overs. Proteas won the game thanks to an unbeaten 131-run stand between David Miller and Rassie van der Dussen.
Hardik had scored 31 runs off just 12 balls with the bat.
