Sources say Amazon has withdrawn from the race for IPL media rights. According to NDTV, Amazon has dropped out of the race for the Indian Premier League media rights for 2023-2027.
According to NDTV, Amazon has withdrawn from the bidding race for the Indian Premier League media rights for the 2023-2027 cycle. Because of Amazon’s withdrawal, Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance, Disney, and Sony Group, among others, are in the running to win the rights to broadcast the cash-rich league.
In September 2017, Star India outbid Sony Pictures for the media rights to the Indian Premier League for the 2017-2022 cycle, paying Rs 16,347.50 crore. With this agreement, the cost of an IPL match had increased to around Rs 55 crore.
Sony Pictures Network won the IPL media rights for ten years in 2008 with a bid of Rs 8200 crore.
Novi Digital awarded the global digital rights to the IPL for three years in 2015 for 302.2 crore.

However, The other franchise, based in Ahmedabad, was purchased for Rs 5,625 crore by CVC Capital Partners, a private equity and investment advisory firm.
