Ex-Chief Selector On Team India’s “Comeback Man” Dinesh Karthik. MSK Prasad believes that the team’s management must quickly determine its best batting order and stick to it during the World Cup.
Dinesh Karthik has returned to Team India after a lengthy absence, and all eyes are on him ahead of the India vs South Africa T20I series. Few would have expected him to make another comeback to the national team at the age of 37. However, Karthik’s impact in the IPL 2022 was so significant that the selection committee and team management were forced to bring him back.
Karthik has made no secret of his desire to help India win the ICC T20 World Cup later this year, and his match-winning performances as a finisher for RCB in the IPL have gone a long way toward earning him another India call-up.

Ex-Chief Selector On Team India’s “Comeback Man” Dinesh Karthik
Karthik was also named to India’s World Cup squad as a replacement for MS Dhoni. MSK Prasad, the former chairman of selectors, chose him for the squad. The former India cricketer told NDTV that he had not seen Karthik in this state of mind in his more than a decade-long career.
“It’s really impressive how he handled himself in certain situations. I haven’t seen Dinesh Karthik in this frame of mind in over a decade and a half. He’s in the best of spirits, so there’s that “Prasad stated.
“He made his choice unavoidable. Now that he’s back, he’ll have more opportunities to make an impact. There aren’t many players in that position (finisher). Because of his form in the IPL, the selectors may have felt compelled to give him one more shot “He continued.
MSK Prasad believes that the team’s management must quickly determine its best batting order and stick to it during the World Cup.
“We need to decide on our batting order. Even in the last T20 World Cup, we were found wanting in that department “Prasad stated.
In the Super 12 stage, India’s group includes Pakistan, South Africa, and Bangladesh.
