Suryakumar, for his part, took to Twitter on Monday (May 9) to thank his fans and well-wishers for their greetings. Notably, the daring batter was one of four players retain by MI ahead of the IPL 2022 mega auction. He did an excellent job, scoring 303 runs in eight games with an average and strike rate of 40 and 140, respectively. Suryakumar also missed MI’s first few games this season due to a lack of fitness.
In terms of Michigan’s season thus far, the five-time champions have lost nine of their first eleven games and are the only team to have been eliminated from the playoff race. As a result, they have nothing but pride to play for in their remaining games.
