2022 International Premier League (IPL): The Delhi Capitals of the Indian Premier League (IPL) named former Australia all-rounder Shane Watson as their assistant coach on Tuesday.
The coaching staff includes Ricky Ponting (Head Coach). Pravin Amre (Assistant Coach), Ajit Agarkar (Assistant Coach), and also James Hopes (Bowling Coach). Watson described his new position as “the best T20 tournament in the world.”

Watson, regarded as one of the best all-rounders in white-ball cricket. Has played in two of Australia’s World Cup-winning 50-over campaigns, in 2007 and also 2015.
At the 2012 T20 World Cup, he was name ‘Player of the Tournament.’ Watson has over 7,000 runs and 200 wickets in limited overs cricket, having represented his country in 190 ODIs and 58 T20Is.
The Queenslander has won the Indian Premier League twice, with RR in 2008 and CSK in 2018. He has played for Rajasthan Royals, Royal Challengers Bangalore, and also Chennai Super Kings.
