The Pakistan Cricket Board’s chairman, Ramiz Raja, revealed the board’s profits as well as the amount each PSL franchise earned from the competition.
Last Sunday marked the end of the seventh season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL). Lahore Qalandars defeated Multan Sultans by 42 runs in front of their home crowd at Gaddafi Stadium in the final.
Following the conclusion of the tournament. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Ramiz Raja revealed the board’s profits as well as the amount earned by each PSL franchise.
According to the former Pakistan captain, the profit increased to 71% during the season. Which is the highest in the tournament’s history.
He went on to say that each franchise earned PKR 900 million (Rs 38 crore).
Profits in the Pakistan Super League are the highest in the tournament’s history,
“HBL PSL 7 profits increased by 71 percent, the highest in its history, with each franchise earning around PKR 900 million. The highest in HBL PSL history, and all before the first ball was bowled.” Ramiz Raja said in an official statement.
Raja also praised fans in Karachi and Lahore. The tournament’s first and second phases, for their “overwhelming” support. Saying he had never seen such “lively and supportive crowds” in his professional career.
“There is no doubt that the HBL PSL7 was a huge success, thanks in large part to the fantastic crowds we had in both Karachi and Lahore,” said the organizers.
“I have never seen such charged-up, overwhelming, enthusiastic, lively, and supportive crowds in my professional career, especially in Lahore,” he added.

When asked about the PSL’s future plans, the 59-year-old hinted at a possible expansion of the league. Stating that he hopes to add more venues for the tournament in the coming years.

“We hope to take this league to the homes of all franchises next year and broaden its fan-reach,” he concluded.
