selection committee revealed their roster for the forthcoming T20I series against India on Monday.

The roster for the forthcoming T20I series against India was release by Sri Lanka Cricket’s selection committee on Monday. On February 24, the three-match T20I series will begin in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.

Due to injuries acquired during the Australian tour, Ramesh Mendis, Nuwan Thushara, and Avishka Fernando will miss the series. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) released a new schedule for India’s upcoming home series against Sri Lanka earlier this week.

The tour was suppose to start with a two-match Test series, but it will instead start with T20Is, with the first match schedules for February 24 at Lucknow’s Ekana Stadium. The second and third Twenty20 Internationals will be place in Dharamsala on February 26 and 27.

Avishka Fernando and Ramesh Mendis have been rule out of the India-Sri Lanka match, with Dasun Shanaka leading the visitors.

During the T20I series, the countries will compete in two Test matches during the ICC World Test Championship cycle, which runs from 2021 to 2023.

The first Test will take place in Mohali from March 4 to 8, and the second will take place in Bengaluru from March 12th to 16th. In the first Test, former captain Virat Kohli will play his 100th Test match, while the second Test will be a day/night match.
